Hey there, good morning and good evening and praise the Lord. Warm welcome to one and all of you and I strongly believe that God has taken good care of you. You are remaining in good health, good strength and good peace, good joy. All the fruit, I mean the flavors, nine flavors in the fruit of the spirit is dwelling in you. And I wish you to prosper more and may God bless us. once again a warm welcome to this series the short series where we are dealing through various subjects which are being comfortably ignored by christened them these days right for various reasons they say hey no time to read bible or they say my pastor never taught about this or they say i never thought it is like this i i thought it was like that so it will be between this and that, you will be wasting your time in life. And at the end of the day, you will see, I mean, end of the day means what? Your days will be over. The end of the age is over. And when you go there, you will be shocked. During the white throne judgment, you will be literally shocked. And that's why definitely my desire is definitely want you to avoid that situation. I want you to be very strongly grounded and rooted in the word of God. Therefore, may you be led by the word of God and not being led by some pastor or some teacher or all this is good yeah go through all these teachings and you know hear listen through hearing wisdom increases through wisdom faith increases bible says in romans 10 17 i'm not against that but then you need to also judge what who is talking to you what from the word of God that's why we are taking you through these kind of doctrines. Alright. Today we are going to talk through a very, very important topic. All topics in Bible are important. You have any doubts? I have no doubts. Every single thing that has been written in the word of God is all forever good. And without a doubt, I can tell you this. I'm going to read a verse from James chapter 1 and verse number 2. James chapter 1 verse number 2. My brethren, with love he says my brethren count it all joy when you fall into various trials what is this what kind of doctrine is this brother people are getting irritated while they are hearing to this doctrine only right count it all joy when you go through the trial trial means what you know trial is the superlative word for trouble problems struggle hardship sickness disease job loss failures errors mistakes sadness griefs or grievous moments anguish tragic loss accidents death now can we revisit I will read again for you this word okay counted all joy when you fall into various trials that's why I have enhanced the list for you right various trials what are those examples i gave you many examples one or other things you would have definitely gone through in our life right there is no life which is free of trouble which is free of sickness which is free of certain you know deaths in the family and in pandemic situation many near ones dear ones are dead and gone which in which in which imposes which induces lot of grief and you know you also lament for for some mom mom over somebody's loss i have gone through it very recently i have lost a beloved uncle of mine and i'm still lamenting for it right so when we go through all of this what is this joy now first of all i understand the difference between joy and happiness i told it in one of the other sessions joy is permanent happiness is temporary now what is this another confusion confusion after confusion happiness is temporary in the sense when you get something that something good happens you get promotion you get married newly married or you know new kid is born so many things you buy a new house you buy a new car etc etc gives happiness but when the house because it gets old when the car gets some more scratches in it and when your wife whom you married was very slim now she has gone and put on some weight you know people start to you know look at look at that person differently. This is temporary. This is all situational based. That is happiness. When things change the other way around, the happiness turns to sadness and sometimes sorrow, sometimes grief, sometimes anguish, sometimes anger. But joy, no? Whatever may be the situation, the confidence in your heart. Bible says in Psalms 37, 5, come into your ways in trust in God, he will bring it to pass. Bring it to pass. It means what you know, whatever may be the circumstance, whatever may be the situation, whatever may be the trouble. You know, people may be horrifying you at workplace. Two, three people, they join hands and they always accuse you falsely. They harass you. They abuse you. College, you go through a lot of ragging and all that. Don't worry. I'm telling you. In the midst of all those situations where you are getting ragged, you are getting all sorts of, you know, problems and this and that, you are still going to feel that happiness inside of you. Why? Because greater is he within me than that is in this world. 1 John 4.4, right? Because why? Whatever may be the situation, nothing is impossible with my God. If God for me, who can be against me? With men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19.26 will run in your head. Romans 8.31 will run in your head. In your heart you will feel like a conqueror, not like a conqueror, more than a conqueror romans 8 37 these are the things which typically induces something called as happiness in the midst of trials in the midst of circumstances that are completely against you you know people not marching one by one sometimes enemies know they gang up and they come right and you will feel you know as if this problem is not enough see there are other 10 problems and there are another 20 troublemakers what kind of life is this a person who is instilled in these kind of word of god i mean not not the word of god the promises of god second corinthians 120 says all his promises all the promises of god are yes and amen yes means what yes it is the truth amen you are saying may it be so yeah i believe because god's word is true and god's word is truth right it's not just a fact it's not a philosophy it's not a theology it's not somebody's doctrine it's not some fairy tales it's not somebody wrote and they said maybe it will happen or maybe it will not happen not like that there is nothing in between yes and amen yes means it is a truth amen it will happen therefore i believe it praise god you will keep on moving you analyze the life of jesus you analyze the life of paul wherever they went they had oppositions a messenger of satan was even given in the flesh of paul someone some people say it is sickness some people say there are adversaries always people you know bet him brovest him tortured him harassed him he went Wherever he went, whatever he does, it is all for our good. But they called him a blabberer. It is in the Bible. They called Paul a blabberer. And they called him with all funny names. Right? And finally, you know what happens? This man of God was taken to paradise. Only he got the privilege. Why? Because he lived by this word. Although it was written by James, but he lived by this word of God. Right? He counted every trial, every temptation, every disaster, every struggle, every hardship. And he gives a big list of things. 39 times I was shipwrecked and 295 times I was bet and bruised. Jesus was bet only for 40 times. I mean not only means I don't mean to say so cheaply but then I'm telling you this man of God, Apostle Paul got 5 times more flogging on his back and he says I counted all joy I counted all joy as a gain I lost nothing But the Saint Paul says whatever I gained in the institute of Gamaliel he was one of the gold medalists there I counted all filthy rags It a garbage man. This is the way how Paul, you know, reacts. And whatever I'm trying to tell you this morning is, my beloved brother, my beloved sister, we all go through troubles. But in the midst of that, if situation is making you happy, if the same situation is turning you sad, then definitely God is not in you. The Holy Spirit is not dwelling in you. Regardless of circumstance, regardless of relationship, regardless of situations, regardless of success, regardless of failure, regardless of errors, regardless of losses in life, if you are still joyful in your heart, that is the primary test. That's the predominant test. You want to know what is that one test can I go through to test and check whether God is with me or not or Holy Spirit is dwelling in me or not. This is the test. This is the test. You check out, right? In the midst of circumstances, in the midst of situation, you check out and see. You will be awestruck. Yeah, some brothers are already strong, but I'm talking to the brothers and sisters that are weak, that are walking in assumption. You think you are strong, but actually you are not. Yeah, all of us, we are all human beings at the end of the day. We have carnality in our, Adamic sin is in us, right? Romans chapter 8, I think. Sorry, Romans chapter 5. Adamic sin is in us, Bible says. The Adamic sin is the one which instills unrighteousness and stuff like that. Alright. Now, but let patience have its perfect work that you may be perfect and complete, you know, lacking and complete, lacking nothing. I'm talking now from the second verse with that we will close. The advantage of you. So, sorry, I skipped verse number three. I am really sorry. I went to verse number 4. Verse number 3. Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. Why should you count all trials as joy? Because your spirit is being tested by God. Why God tests your spirit? God is testing your spirit because he wants to promote you in your spiritual growth. He wants to take you to the next level in your spiritual prosperity. Maybe materialistic prosperity. He wants to test your humility. He wants to test you. How you are handling the money in the midst of crisis. how you spend it all in the midst of celebrations how you spend it see not always this trials are sad ones grievous ones and all that sometimes these trials will happen through events like you know celebration are you a spendthrift God is going to test you even that is a trial are you all with me so in the midst of that how do you value the money and spend only that little for yourself whatever is needed you can you not be miserly to your family spend where whatever is needed but then the equal measure you will also bless others yeah Whatever you are eating, you will be also giving to the poor, downtrodden, needy, orphans. That's the kind of attitude which will be put to test. Are you all with me so far? I'm not confusing you, right? Knowing that, you know, sorry, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. Testing of your faith is definitely something negatively is going to happen in your life, where how much you will endure in the temptation. Endurance in the temptation will help you to hold the crown of life. James 1.12 says. you all understand that how much of that resistance capacity how much of that strength you have to handle and god will allow only to the extent of what you could bear that is very clear 1 corinthians 10 13. god will not permit anything beyond what you could bear beyond what you what what you are capable to handle and god is faithful right philippines 1 6 he who began the good work in you will complete because he is faithful he who called you is faithful and he knows how to take care of you and he knows how to make a way for you to escape and the intercessor will continue to meditate for you Jesus our Lord Romans 8 26 says that you know the Holy Spirit also with a groaning and grieving spirit he will also pray for you yeah and Jesus is our intercessor and advocate Bible says in 1 John chapter 2 verses 1 and 2 Hebrews chapter 1 and verse 3 Mark chapter 16 last two verses And these two are going to always pray for us Therefore no way no way God will permit anything beyond what you could bear, beyond what you could handle, beyond what you could listen. Whatever he permits, it's only for, it's only to churn success, only thing your faith is put to test. How much of that patience and you see, you know, faith produces patience. the more you stand strong in that faith you'll become a very patient person right and you will be the man of patience and that's one of the important flavor in the fruit of the spirit galatians 5 22 23 you will find both actually faith and patience two two flavors we already covered not two fruits one fruit nine flavors two flavors we already covered now i'll go to fourth verse with that we will close but so sorry but let patience have its perfect work that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing with that we'll close okay don't you want to be perfect like god matthew 5 48 says god welcomes you hey i want you to be perfect like me john 14 12 i already told you know you can do things like me and more than what i have done Jesus says this. How it is possible? Without patience. Without patience, without faith, there is no completeness in you. You are always like, you know, half complete. Half cooked vegetables, some people like most people hate. I cannot eat half cooked vegetables. I want the vegetable to be fully cooked. Some people eat half cooked meat. They will end up in indigestion. I cannot eat that also. I like everything to be cooked fully. in a similar way, I like to go through the perfection and completion in life. And I want to become like God. You and I are welcome to become like God. Don't be offended. God welcomes you to become like Him. It is you who is rejecting always. No, God, I don't want to become like you because you are God. I am your creation. See, there itself an answer is there. No, in the question itself, answer is there. You are His creation, which means what? You are created in the image of God.
