Greetings Classic Cinema and TV fans, this is Pastor Jay here with you once again, bringing you another top seven list. This time around we're talking about the top seven movie trilogies. As with all these videos, these are our top seven favorites. You can let us know your top favorite movie trilogies in the comments below. We'd love to hear from you. Now, a lot of people don't give this series a lot of love, this movie series, this movie trilogy, but I love it, and that is the original Spider-Man. This is the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy. It started off with Spider-Man number one. This, of course, has been remade now many times with Andrew Garfield and with Tom Holland as the new Spider-Man. But this is the one with Tobey Maguire. I absolutely love this. The first one was so well done. I loved it. I think it was really good. The second one, Spider-Man 2, was really an epic, epic one I think it's a little better than even the first one, in my opinion The third one kind of went off the rails a little bit I think the only reason this, a lot of people don't like the emo version of Tobey Maguire but you know that's not what I think where the problem is in this I think where the problem is with this is there's too many villains in this thing there's just too much going on too many characters too many things going on and it just gets really really bogged down but it's still a fun film and to me I have to tell you this trilogy I have watched this so many times and I love this Spider-Man trilogy That's why we put it number seven on the top seven list. Now, who didn't love Heath Ledger's version of the Joker in The Dark Knight? This is Chris Nolan's trilogy of Batman. Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises. All kinds of great stuff in this trilogy. A lot of people give the hate to Batman because he has that darkness when he's Batman. Personally, I don't have a problem with it. It doesn't bother me. But I really love this. Of course, Dark Knight is spectacular. It's probably one of the best superhero films probably ever created. That is up for debate, but that's mine. I think it was just so well done. But, yeah, the whole trilogy is just amazing. I love Christopher Nolan's take on Batman. I love Christopher Nolan's take on Bane. I love the whole universe that he creates there. I love the fact that we get a Robin that we didn't even realize. I like that. That's a little nod at the end there to the trilogy. It's just a really good, good story. A really good trilogy. I love it. That's why we put it at number six. The Batman Dark Knight Trilogy on number six on our top seven. Who among us didn't want to be Indiana Jones? I mean, wow. What an amazing trilogy of films. Now, there are more beyond that, but we're talking about the original trilogy. Raiders of the Lost Ark the Temple of Doom and the Last Crusade Of course they came up later with Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls And you know there talks of more But you know we not talking about that We're talking the original trilogy. Such a great, great thing. I love this box set. You get all three films there. See that? So cool. But this box set is just... I just love this. I know people will say, well, it's on Blu-ray. Why didn't you get it on Blu-ray? because this is just so cool. I just love this box set. It's just so cool. To me, this is just amazing. I love it. But anyway, Indiana Jones, a treasure hunter, going and searching for the lost Ark of the Covenant. All these different treasures and his fear of snakes and all the different, just an amazing thing. And Harrison Ford is so awesome. as Indiana Jones. I just can't imagine somebody else playing Indiana Jones. I know there are talks about somebody else taking over the reins. Oh, I don't know. I think that's the problem when you fall in love with a character so much that it's hard to see another person take that character. And so that's going to be a difficulty for me. But I love this. I love this trilogy here. So cool. Indiana Jones, the trilogy, adventure personified, so much fun, so much great stuff. It's just, it's like a perfect trilogy. Now, are all three films perfect? No, of course not. No trilogy is going to be perfect, but Raiders of the Lost Ark is perfect. Temple of Doom, eh, it's pretty good. It's pretty good, but you can see the dip there a little bit. And The Last Crusade is pretty good. But together they just make a great trilogy, and I really enjoy it. So that's why we put Indiana Jones, the trilogy, at number five. So many stories in the Star Trek universe have been told time after time after time, movies upon movies upon movies, and, you know, it's kind of hard to break it down to what's the best. Well, to me, it doesn't get any better than the original. We're talking the original trilogy now. So many people consider the trilogy to be Star Trek II, III, and IV, not Star Trek I. And that's because that's where really the arc together is all these three films together. And it's Star Trek The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek The Search for Spock, and Star Trek The Voyage Home. Just a great little mix of trilogy here, trilogy films. And you've got the original Star Trek cast from the original TV series all here in this trilogy. It is so awesome. They've done so many different versions of Star Trek through Star Trek Next Generation, the movie series, the newer Star Trek movies, all this type of stuff, but there is nothing like the original. William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, all of the amazing cast there together for this amazing adventure. That's why we put the Star Trek trilogy at number four on the top seven. All right, again, so many different versions of this film, of these characters have been done. We've got so many of them over the years that it's kind of hard to put it down. But to me, the best is the original. You got X the original X 2 X United and then X 3 The Last Stand Now before I go any further so many people hate this film I know what they saying and I know why they do but I think for just entertainment value if you kind of don't try to analyze it so much, it's not that bad of a film. We try to analyze the films a little too much, I think, sometimes instead of just going along for the ride. X3 is not as bad as many people feel. X1 is pretty spectacular. X-Men 2 is simply amazing. X3, eh, not so much. But still together they make a really, really fun tale of three movies with Wolverine, with Cyclops, with Storm, with Jean Grey, with Professor X, with Magneto and all his people. I mean, just an amazing, amazing group of people, a group of characters telling a complete trilogy of stories. It's very, very well done. I like it. That's why we put the X-Men, the original X-Men trilogy, at number three on our top seven. When you're wanting sci-fi goodness, this is amazing. Time travel, science fiction, all kinds of good stuff. Who doesn't love Back to the Future? I have been a fan of Back to the Future ever since the first time I watched it on TV. when I first watched that as a young kid on TV I fell in love with this show with this movie, the first one and then I saw the second one and the third one and I was like absolutely just mesmerized by it I have watched this film series oh, so many times it's hard to believe to me this is time travel at its best I love it who doesn't love Marty McFly Who doesn't love Doc Brown? I mean, oh, I just love Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown. It's just amazing. There have been talks of doing more Back to the Future films, and I'm torn on that because Marty McFly is Michael J. Fox. Doc Brown is Christopher Lloyd to do more films I just don't know if that's going to destroy this this is just a perfect trilogy in my opinion Back to the Future 1 is amazing, Back to the Future 2 kind of dips a little bit but it's necessary to see the future and then to bridge to the past But number three is not bad. Number three, we see a different thing. Marty in the Old West, Doc Brown in the Old West. It's a good bridge. Now, the second one does dip, but you get this high, a dip, and then you come back up, which is okay. I like that. I love this trilogy, and that's why Back to the Future has to get number two on the top seven list. we're doing the top seven trilogies of all time so what could possibly be number one you know we had to go there we're talking the original Star Wars trilogy, I love this box set you got Darth Vader on the back you got the original artwork in silver foil on the front. I love it. It's just great. This to me is just spectacular. I love this box set. I know it's been on Blu-ray, but this to me, this silver foil is just why I love this so much and why I haven upgraded it because it just I just love this But anyway the trilogy of films unbelievable Who when they first saw the first movie Star Wars A New Hope didn't get pulled in. I mean, it was just such an adventure from the droids to all the amazing different characters, aliens and stuff, and the lightsabers, and all this type of, just an amazing adventure. We watch Luke grow from being a young man just trying to be a farmer, even though he wants to be more, and then being pushed out into a world after his guardians are killed. Unbelievable. And then we see him grow and mature, and then in Empire Strikes Back, the second film, we see him go from being a young man trying to learn his way to actually becoming a leader for the Resistance, and then by the time we get to Return of the Jedi, we see him as a real leader, as a general, as the leader of this group, I mean, unbelievable. And to see Darth Vader, his transformation from this whole thing to the end is just unbelievable. It's just a great, great trilogy. The first one, amazing. The second one, flawless, perfect. Third one, pretty amazing. Of the three, of course, the second one, which is very strange, the second one is the best, in my opinion. Empire Strikes Back is the best of the series. It's just so amazing, but all of them are almost near flawless. They are that well done. Now, the second George Lucas trilogy, Star Wars 1, 2, and 3, we're not going to talk about that too much. that's got I mean they're entertaining they're good but they don't hit the same mark as this they're necessary to tell us how Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader but they're not as good as this this is spectacular and I don't even want to talk about the new trilogy maybe someday I'll talk about it on the channel but I'm not even going to talk about it today we got a lot to talk about when it comes to that and we'll do it maybe sometime down the line. But this is a great, great trilogy. I love it. That's why we put Star Wars, the original trilogy, number one on the list of the top seven. So, that is our top seven movie trilogies.
