Thank you. If we really understood as the church, the church of our Lord Jesus Christ, that she needs to be awakened to understand that the power of the almighty God lives within them, and to understand that he is a mighty force who stirs up the world for Jesus through them. if we could understand as the church combined that many souls could be captured for Jesus if we really worked together. Multitudes of souls are lost to the precious gospel because we are not well united in this divine work of God. And I would like to expound on this precious truth Paul speaks of in Ephesians 6.10. Ephesians 6.10. Paul says, finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. That was the New King James Version that I just read to you. And the Living Bible Translation says it this way. Last of all, I want to remind you that your strength must come from the Lord's mighty power within you. And the Amplified says it this way, In conclusion, be strong in the Lord, be empowered through your union with him, and draw your strength from him, that strength which his boundless might provides. Paul is obviously giving a clue to the believers in this verse, And he's exhorting you and me today by stressing that the source of our mighty strength is in the power of his might. That is the might of God's power. And how powerful for the church of the living God to understand this, that the might of his power dwells in the midst of his church. this scripture is also saying that the might of his power comes by union with him and the might of his awesome equipping power strength or ability is a miraculous power in abundance within you within you and me and the closer you draw to the holy spirit the greater his mighty equipping source is within you. Strong's Hebrew Dictionary defines this wonderful equipping power as a dunamis power, a force, literally meaning a miraculous power, miracle itself, an ability, abundance, Meaning mightily, indeed, a worker of miracles and power and strength. Mighty, wonderful work and violence. And in Greek, this mighty equipping power is defined as megliotheos, power, greatness and majesty. Mighty power. What is the power of his might? What is the equipping power of God Almighty? What is this power that Paul was speaking of, which resides within you and me? Dear church, I want you to know that this power has a name. And the Spirit of God, or also known as Holy Spirit of God, is a person. the power of God has a name Holy Spirit he is a person of the Godhead the third person of the Godhead and he is sensitive and gentle as a dove and he gives us comfort like a mother might and he is tender and compassionate and he is here on this earth with a mission and he is here to help us to learn the truth of God and see to it that we all have the ability to overcome the world Satan and yes even ourselves he is all so mighty in power as we read according to the Greek dictionary as great and a mighty force in all abundance. And the Spirit of God is the very one precious church who parted the Red Sea and held back its waves so God's children could go through into their promised land. Sometimes the Lord, the Holy Spirit, is described as strong and mighty. And sometimes he's described as almighty. I desire to show you the significance in God's infinite almighty power. But you may be ahead of me already and say, well, how do I as a believer connect with the source of God's almighty power? How do we as the clay who are formed by the hands of the potter dare to even desire to operate, live in and or even know the workings of the great God who spoke the world and all that is in it into existence? Isaiah 64, 8. The prophet declares in this word, Yet, O Lord, you are our Father, and we are the clay. You are the potter. We are all the work of your hands. I declare to you, church, in all humility, that to stand in the might or the power of the Holy Spirit is first that you must have a settled, a firm belief or resolve that Holy Spirit is indeed almighty in power. Then you must not only believe that he is mighty in power, but also that his almighty power is a promise or guarantee for your defense. God expects you to meet every trial, every temptation, every disappointment by leaning on his glorious arm of power. The book of Isaiah shows us two key points in reference to the equipping power of the Holy Spirit in Isaiah 59.1. I'd like you to go with me to Isaiah 59.1. Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. The Lord is not too weak to save you, and he is not becoming deaf. He can hear you when you cry. When you call out, he will hear you. Verse 2, but there is a problem. Your sins have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he's turned away and will not listen anymore. Verse 3. Your hands are the hands of murderers, and your fingers are filthy with sin, and your mouth is full of lies, and your lips are tainted with corruption. How many of us know that murder comes even in the form of our words? murder is found in words which character assassinate a fellow christian or any individual for that matter as a child of god we must not close our eyes to the two points that we see here the mighty arm of defense is in operation for those who are endeavoring with all honesty and sincerity, to live a godly life here and now. Point one of the scripture is that the arm of the Lord is not too short for those who love God and show it by their loving obedience to his commands and his ways. In point two of Isaiah 59, verse two says, but there is a problem. Your sins have cut you off from God. Because of your sin, he has turned away and he will not listen anymore. Continuing in verse 4. No one cares about being fair and honest. Their lawsuits are based on lies. They spend their time plotting evil deeds and then doing them. Verse 5, they spend their time and energy spinning evil plans that end up in deadly actions. And they cheat and shortchange everyone. Nothing they do is productive. All of their activity is filled with violence, is filled with sin. Violence is their trademark. Verse 7, their feet run to do evil and they rush to commit murder. They think only about sinning. Wherever they go, misery and destruction follow them, and they do not know what true peace is or what it means to be good and just. They continually do wrong, and those who follow them cannot experience a moment's peace. Verse 9, it is because of all this evil that deliverance is far from us. That is why God doesn't punish those who injure us. No wonder we are in darkness when we expect the light. No wonder we are walking in the gloom. No wonder we grope like blind people and stumble along. Even at the brightest noontime we fall down as though it were dark. No wonder we are like corpses when compared to vigorous young men. We growl like hungry bears and we moan like mournful doves. We look for justice, but none is to be found. We look to be rescued, but it is far away from us. Verse 12. For our sins are piled up before God and testify against us. Yes, we know what sinners we are. We know that we have rebelled against the Lord and we have turned our backs on God. we know how unfair and oppressive we have been carefully planning our deceitful lies. Well, we see the two issues which Isaiah points out that must work together in order for us to experience the mighty power of the Holy Spirit. The arm of the Lord is not too short for them who love God and demonstrate this love by their submission and obedience to his commands. His almighty power is a promise or a guarantee then for your defense. As I previously stated, God expects you to meet every trial, every temptation, and every disappointment by leaning on his glorious arm of love and power. his mighty arm is not too short or too weak to see you through any difficulty and just as a loving father walking over a rough path in life with his child would extend his hand to that child when he might fall so does God our loving eternal father in heaven He reaches out his mighty arm of power and strength to his own children. And he scoops us up in his tender arms of love once again. He wipes our tears and he kisses our face and assures us that he loves us. and he restores us once again in his loving kindness. Beloved, King David shares this with us in Psalm 71, verse 14. Psalm 71, verse 14. But as for me, I will always have hope. I will praise you God more and more and my mouth will tell of your righteousness of your salvation all day long though I know not its measure I will come and proclaim your mighty acts O sovereign Lord and I will proclaim your righteousness yours alone since my youth O God you have taught me And to this day, I declare your marvelous deeds. Even when I'm old and gray, oh, do not forsake me, oh God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come. Verse 19. Your righteousness leads to the skies, oh God. You who have done great things. Oh God, who is like you. And though you've made me see troubles many and bitter, you will restore my life again. From the depths of the earth you will again bring me up And you will increase my honor and comfort me once again And I will praise you with the heart for your faithfulness, oh my God. And I will sing praise to you with the lyre. Oh, holy one of Israel, my lips will shout for joy when I sing to you. I, whom you have redeemed. We see through these scriptures penned by King David that how kind God is, how loving he is in his faithfulness to us. How kind, how loving he would bring us up again from the depths, from the pit that we might be in in the moment. He'd bring us up. the troubles that we see that are many and bitter, that we are told we will have on this path, this course in life, that he will restore our lives again from each trouble and each bitterness that we experience. He will restore us. How kind, how loving God really is to us as children. And we cannot call him God or Father unless we've accepted his son Jesus Christ, offered sacrifice upon the cross and lived this way of life. We cannot call him Father. How kind he is that many never know or experience his kindness or his love in these ways. But I must tell you here, this begins by faith for you and me. We cling to him by faith. We learn to trust him. God did this for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, whose faith he tested above most of the saints before or since their times. They were tested in their faith. And not one of the great things which were promised to them came to pass while they were on the earth. These people believed and trusted in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. But you may ask, well, how did God make himself known to them? God made himself known to these men these people by displaying the majesty of his power he equipped them with his power then to walk in faith and believe him for these promises to come to pass this is our study today the equipping mighty power and presence of the Holy Spirit In Exodus 6.1, in Exodus 6.1, the Lord said to Moses, Now shall you see what I will do to Pharaoh. For compelled by a strong hand, he will not only let them go, but he will drive them out of his land with a strong hand. Verse 2, And God said to Moses, I am the Lord. Verse 3, had to keep their footing sure. They had experienced the power and presence of God, and they went on in faith believing that what was promised would surely come to pass. They went on believing in faith. They all lived comfortable lives, the scriptures show us, and they died victoriously and passed the blessing of the promise on to their children. They never doubted because God Almighty had made a promise and they experienced the working of his might and equipping power in their lives to go on. They pressed on. And still today, God will appear to people in the working of his mighty power and presence, just as he did in the time of Saul who became Apostle Paul. and throughout all the ages God has proven the sufficiency of his power and yet it was still and it is difficult for some to believe that God is almighty and almighty in Greek means all ruling the all ruling that is God is the the absolute one and sovereign omnipotent Ephesians 1.19, Paul speaks and says it's his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at the right hand in the heavenly realms. speaking of Holy Spirit in his incomparable great power for us who believe. You see, that's faith. For us who have faith and believe in that power, mighty working strength. And it was exerted, this power and strength of the Holy Spirit was exerted in Jesus at the time he raised him from the dead and seated him at the right hand of the Father. Moses, for instance, himself was the recipient of an outpouring of grace in the mighty workings of the Spirit's power. And yet we see how his faith soared at times, and other times his faith waned. And he was overcome with doubts in Numbers 11, 21. In Numbers 11, 21. And the people here, in prefacing the scripture, the people were groaning and murmuring for meat. And verse 21, Moses says to God at this time. He says, here I am among 600,000 men on foot. And you say, I will give them meat to eat for a whole month. Verse 22. Would they have enough if flocks and herds were slaughtered for them? Would they have enough if all the fish in the sea were caught for them? This is Moses speaking to God in the time that God said, I will give them meat enough to last for a month. And this great leader, this holy man of God, lost sight for a time of the almighty power. And he began questioning how the Lord could keep his word. and he might as well have said what he was really thinking. Oh God, are you sure you haven't really overestimated or overshot your power at this time? And can you, what you've promised and spoken, God, can it really be done? See, God knows even the very inward thoughts of man. And he said back to Moses in verse 23, The Lord answered Moses, is the Lord's arm too short, Moses? You will see whether or not what I say will come true for you. Moses, for a short time, doubted the mighty working, the awesome strength of the Holy Spirit's equipping power. And of course, we know the rest of the story. And if you don't know the rest of the story, then this might encourage you to go seek it out and find out what happened. A New Testament example is found in the Gospel of John 11, 32. John 11, 32. Where Mary said, Lord, if you'd been here, my brother would not have died. this is speaking here of Lazarus the time of the death of Lazarus in John 11 32 when Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him she fell at his feet and said Lord if you'd been here my brother would not have died and when Jesus saw her weeping the Jews who had come along with her also weeping. He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. Where have you laid him? He asked. Come and see, Lord, they replied. Jesus wept. And the Jews said, see how he loved him. But some of them said, could not he, the one who opened the eyes of the blind man, kept this man from dying? And Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. and it was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. Take the stone away, he said. But Lord, said Martha, the sister of the dead man, by this time there is a bad odor for he's been there for four days. And Jesus said, did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God? So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me. But I say this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me. And when he said this, Jesus called out in a loud voice, Lazarus come out and the dead man came out and his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen and a cloth around his face Jesus said to them take off the grave clothes and let him go therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary had seen what Jesus did and put their faith in him. 46. But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. The chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin. Both of these women were godly women. Yet they had doubt about the extent of Christ's power. One limited him to a place saying, Lord if you'd only been here as if Jesus couldn't have saved Lazarus life whether or not he was present or away and the other one limited him to time saying Lord by now his body smells it stinks Lord as if Jesus was too late and the grave would not give up its prisoner at his command. Oh, despite their unbelief, God proved himself faithful in the mighty equipping work of the Holy Spirit's power. Hallelujah. It caused many to put their faith in Jesus in that moment. many put their faith in Jesus in that moment God was faithful in spite of their unbelief and the mighty working equipping power of the Holy Spirit caused many to put their faith in Jesus I speak to myself as well in the statement before you judge the weakness of these people and their faith. We need to check for the holes in our own faith. Amen? We do not dare to have such an exalted opinion of our own standing and to think that our faith does not need continual effort in acknowledging the power and the presence of the Almighty God. those who have gone before us that is our spiritual forefathers seeing how their faith at times wavered in times of testing and temptation means to you and me to listen to the warning take heed lest you fall without God's strength and equipping power we cannot stand in the hour of testing precious church without his strength, without the equipping power of the Holy Spirit. These challenges are far beyond the reach of any human endurance. And if you're going through a trial where you have the doors locked and the windows shut tight and the shades pulled down and you are resisting Satan and his attack, but he's still pressing forward and beating on the door what do you do will you panic will you scream will you freak out well let me say you do not need to do any one of these things just send a face cry to the window of God like the man in the parable asking his neighbor for bread at the midnight hour And he who keeps covenant forever will provide for you too. He loves you. He loves you, church, and he will hear your cry. When faith fails, however, and doubt takes over, there is no divine intervention. It is like the battle is all but over and Satan will be at the door ready to enter in. But I want to encourage you in your faith today. When you are in the midst of testing, do not give up in despair. Do not doubt. God is more than able. This is the time to continue on. This is the time to put your shoulder to the wheel and press on. This is the time to set your face like flint and not give up. This is the time to remind yourselves of the promise of God according to his word. God will build your trust and faith and confidence in himself by the working of his power and presence in the Holy Spirit. You see, even faith is God's favor and grace in your life, in my life. And unless you clearly deny the power of the Almighty God, faith will reach clear to the throne room of grace doubt cripples but it does not disable faith doubt cripples but does not disable faith even as you might or you may dispute the mercy of god and question in your own mind whether god will come to your rescue Faith will make its way into his presence And the message this delivers is God if you are willing make me clean Oh God if you are willing Please make me clean God alone precious church God alone knows the weakness of our flesh And this is why he's known for his loving kindness He's always drawing us to himself in his everlasting arms of love He's kind and he's loving He knows we are weak He knows our flesh is weak when we're willing for him to make us clean of all our leprosy or better said our sin he'll do just that he's just waiting for you to ask and the gospel of Luke in Luke 5 12 shows us such deep compassion of our Lord 5 12 of Luke while he was in one of the towns there came a man covered with leprosy and when he saw Jesus he fell on his face and implored him saying Lord if you are willing you are able to cure me and make me clean if you are willing Lord verse 13 And Jesus reached out his hand and touched him, saying, I am willing. Be cleansed. And immediately the leprosy left him. What compassion of our Lord. What love, if we just ask. He will do it too. But if you conclude that God cannot pardon you or save you or rescue you, it is like shooting faith in the heart or yourself in the foot. Never abandon your faith in light of the awesomeness of God's power and presence. Remember who is almighty in power and deed. Remember, who is almighty and power? Indeed, in strength, in all you need. It has always been the Father's will and desire that we trust only in him. God demands to be called the almighty one. and he insists that we place our confidence, our trust, our faith in him. Man may be called wise, merciful, or mighty, but remember, precious one, only God is all-wise, all-knowing, and all-powerful. If man is wise, it is because God has given him the wisdom. If man is merciful, it is because God has shown him mercy. If man is powerful, it is because God has equipped him with the Spirit's power. God has made it abundantly clear that we, his children, are commanded to give him glory for his power. Isaiah 42, 12, please. Isaiah 42.12 Let them give glory to the Lord and declare his praise in the coastlands. Verse 13 The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man and he shall stir up his zeal like a man of war and he shall cry out, yes, shout aloud and he shall prevail against his enemies. Hallelujah! Does that stir you up? Hallelujah, I pray your joy overflow. Hallelujah. Let joy overflow. That your strength, your joy overflow. In knowing that your strength is in him. He is your source. He shall prevail against all your enemies. Malachi 2.2. Malachi 2.2. if you will not hear and if you will not take it to heart to give glory to my name, says the Lord of hosts, I will send a curse upon you and I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already because you do not take it to heart. Revelation 14, 6. You know, I'm building a point. I'm making a point. Revelation 14, 6. And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth, to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God and give him the glory for the hour of his judgment has come. And worship him who has made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water. The Lord made it clear also in his interaction with men that all power is his. And he shall not share his glory with any other. Shall not share his glory with any other. He's made it very clear. Isaiah 8, 12. A call to trust in the Lord, to have faith in him, in his mighty power and abilities, because his arm is not too short. Verse 11. The Lord has said to me in the strongest terms, do not think like everyone else does. Verse 12. Do not be afraid that some plan conceived behind closed doors will be the end of you. And do not fear anything except the Lord Almighty. He alone is the Holy One. If you fear him, you need fear nothing else. Verse 14. He will keep you safe. But to Israel and Judah, he will be a stone that causes people to stumble in a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem, he will be a trap that entangles them. Verse 15. Many of them will stumble and fall, never to rise again. Many will be captured. I will write down all these things as a testimony of what the Lord will do. I will entrust it to my disciples who will pass it down to future generations. Verse 17. And I will wait for the Lord to help us. though he has turned away from the people of Israel. My only hope is in him. 18. I and the children the Lord has given me have names that reveal the plans the Lord Almighty has for his people. Verse 19. So why are you trying to find out the future by consulting mediums and psychics? Do not listen to their whisperings and mutterings. Can the living find out the future from the dead? Why not ask your God? Verse 20. Check their predictions against my testimony, says the Lord. And if their predictions are different from mine, it is because there is no light or truth in them. Verse 21. My people will be led away as captives, weary and hungry. And because they are hungry, they will rage and shake their fists in heaven and curse their king and their God. Wherever they look, there will be trouble and anguish and dark despair. And they will be thrown out into the darkness. The word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah is very clear that God will not share his glory with any other. And those who put their trust or confidence in anything else or anyone other than God will remain in captivity. will not live in freedom or in victory and power through his spirit who equips for our every need. And there's just a sure fact that we must all know. We need to trust in the Lord our God. He's given us his spirit, his Holy Spirit, who equips us with power and might because he lives in us. God in you. There's also an example in Luke 1.18 where Zachariah merely asked the angel. He asked a question, and let's see, in Luke 1.18, a man who did not trust in the word of the Lord or believe the one whom God had sent from the sanctuary. Luke 111. Zachariah was in the sanctuary when an angel of the Lord appeared standing to the right of the incense altar. Zachariah was overwhelmed with fear. But the angel said, Don't be afraid, Zachariah, for God has heard your prayer. And your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to name him John. You will have great joy and gladness, and many will rejoice with you at his birth. Verse 15. For he will be great in the eyes of the Lord, and he must never touch wine or hard liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before his birth. and he will persuade many Israelites to turn to the Lord their God and he will be a man with the spirit and power of Elijah the prophet of old and he will precede the coming of the Lord preparing the people for his arrival and he will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and he will change the disobedient minds to accept godly wisdom. Verse 18, Zechariah said to the angel, How can I know this will happen? I'm an old man right now and my wife also is getting along in years. Verse 19. Then the angel said, I am Gabriel. I stand in the very presence of God. And it was he who sent me to bring you this good news. And now, since you didn't believe what I said, you won't be able to speak until the child is born. For my words will certainly come true at the proper time. For daring to question the greatness of God's power, Zacharias was struck dumb immediately right where he stood. God longs for his children to believe his word and not to dispute his power. God just longs for us to just believe what his word says and not question. And the distinguishing mark here that we're going to see in Romans 4.18 that speaks of Abraham's faith that was declared by Paul in Romans 4.18. For Abraham hoped in faith that he should become the father of many nations as he had been promised. so numberless shall your descendants be verse 19 he did not weaken in faith when he considered the utter impotence of his own body which was as good as dead because he was about 100 years old or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah dead in womb verse 20 no unbelief or distrust made him waver doubtingly questioned concerning the promise of God But he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God. Verse 21, fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep his word and to do what he had promised. Verse 22, that is why his faith was credited to him, his righteousness, right standing with God. But the words it was credited to him were not written for his sake alone, but they were written for our sakes too. Righteousness, standing acceptable to God, will be granted and credited to us also who believe, who trust in and adhere to and rely on God, who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. Verse 21 says, Abraham, fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty, more than powerful, to keep his word and to do what he had promised. many times to encourage our trust, dear church, in our faith in him. Holy Spirit will often intervene in mighty ways on our behalf. Sometimes he allows some opposing force to arise so that at precisely the right moment he can raise up a mighty working of miracle signs and wonders in our midst right there. And this prompts awe on our behalf and wonder and exclamations as we observe to say, Wow, the mighty presence and power of God is at work in this place. This happened in the account with Lazarus. We've read that before. that Jesus stayed away until the man was good and dead. And this was to ensure a greater demonstration of his power. And sometimes God used the same method in the Old Testament. Remember in the Old Testament with Moses leading the people of God in the Exodus out of Egypt? If God would have brought the people out of Egypt while Joseph was in favor at court, they most likely would have had an easy exodus from that place, wouldn't they have? But instead, God decided in his almighty knowing and greatness to bring his people out under the reign of the proud Pharaoh who sadistically and inhumanely oppressed them and satisfied his lusts upon them. God brought them out from under this great oppressor so that the Israelites would know that the great and mighty equipping power and presence of God was their deliverer He wanted them to know without a doubt that he was indeed the great and living God who was worthy of all praise and glory God's timely intervention is a confirmation that you can believe in his almighty power too. Holy Spirit wants you to know he is available as you believe and you trust in him. In the midst of your trials and temptations. He's called our mighty divine helper. God wants to assure you as his child that he extends forth his power on your behalf too. Isaiah 50, verse 1. I remind you of the scripture. Because of your sins you were sold. Because of your transgressions your mother was sent away. And when I came, why was there no one? When I called, why was there no one to answer? Was my arm too short to ransom you? Do I lack the strength to rescue you? By a mere rebuke, I dry up the sea and turn rivers into a desert. You see, just as a mother hen, a goofy, silly bird gathers up her chicks under her wings to protect them, will not your heavenly father come to your rescue too? Or a mother who drops everything to run to the rescue of her crying child? Could we not see the same response of our Heavenly Father when he hears the cries of his very own children? I declare to you, dear church, that God's love for you and me sets his power in motion. His love sets his power in motion. His eye is always on you. If his eye be on the sparrow, a common bird, and the word says not one of these common birds fall to the ground without his notice, will his eye surely not be upon you and me? when we give him a cry in time of need? Will his eye not be on you? He or she who has God's heart does not lack because God's arm is not too short to rescue. One whose heart is turned towards him will captivate his heart and his love faster and causes affection and power to spring into action. King David said, Lord, when I am afraid, I will trust in you. Once you realize that God's omnipotence, his power is in charge of your life, you will quit worrying about how to fight your enemies. no assault is strong enough to overpower you and nothing can push through your front lines without the Lord's permission Jesus Christ's presence at the right hand of the Father as a reminder that he has a firm commitment to defend his own we've been promised that our Savior is continually interceding before the Father on our behalf and this intercession by the king of kings is an office of mercy for believers so that all will be given to you whatever is needed to accomplish what he's given you to do just as Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to comfort believers in the past he is still sending the spirit of might and power equipping his dear ones, his beloved until his return today. Take comfort and know that God loves you so much that he will not hesitate to give a whole nation for your ransom if he desires or so decrees. He ripped open the very womb of Egypt to save the life of his child Israel. And my desire is that these very words spoken by the spirit of might and power to his beloved Israel, will touch you as deeply as it did them in their time too. That's found in Isaiah 43, verse 1. Look with me, please. Isaiah 43, verse 1. But now this is what the Lord says. He who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel, fear not, for I have redeemed you. I've summoned you by name. You are mine. And when you pass through the waters, I will be with you. Could you see that presently when you pass through the waters or the present times? God says, I'll be with you. Through your trials, I'll be with you. And when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. And when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. The flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God The Holy One of Israel Your Savior I give Egypt for your ransom Cush and Sibah in your stead Verse 4 And since you are precious and honored in my sight And because I love you I will give men in exchange for you And people in exchange for your lives Verse 5 Do not be afraid For I am with you I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. And I will say to the north, give them up. And to the south, don't hold them back. Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the end of the earth. Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made. Lead out those who have eyes but are blind Who have ears but are deaf All the nations gathered together And the peoples assemble Which of them have foretold this And proclaimed it to us The former things Let them bring their witness To prove they are right So that others may hear and say It is true Verse 10 You are my witnesses declare the Lord And my servants whom I have chosen so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me, no God was formed, or will there be one after me? I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no Savior. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed, I am not some foreign God among you. You are my witnesses, declare the Lord, that I am God. Yes, and from ancient days I am he, and no one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it? Verse 14, this is what the Lord says, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. For your sake, I will send to Babylon and bring down as fugitives over all Babylonians in the ships in which they took pride. I am the Lord, your God, your Holy One, Israel's creator, your king. Verse 16. This is what the Lord says. He who made a way through the Red Sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and the horses and the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick. Verse 18, forget the former things and do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs up. Do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wastelands. And the wild animals honor me and the jackals and owls because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland to give drink to my people, my chosen.
