The power of the Gospel can help overcome shame and lead to freedom from pain and addiction.
Planting seeds of faith can lead to unexpected harvests and transformations.
Visible success is not what motivates Christians, but the Word of God and its transformative power.
The Gospel offers a way for humanity to be justified and made righteous through Jesus Christ.
I'll tell you one more story. We were in Harlem, New York, working the R.W. Schambach Convention, and during the day, we would be out in the streets. We would take people, we would train them and take them out to the streets to practice leading people to Jesus and healing the sick. That was our job. And I walked over, I was downtown Harlem, and walked over to this group of people standing on the street corner. And there was maybe 15 of them or so. And I walk over and I see them. And as I get closer, I see them drinking. And, you know, they're kind of boisterous and loud. And I had these flyers in my hand. I was going to invite them all to come to the convention. And so I walked over and I began to hand out these flyers. And I'm like, what's this? What's this? What's this? Well, I didn't say anything until they all got one in their hands so that I didn't get booted out early, you know. And so I handed all this. and as soon as they saw what it was, they started cussing me. Laughing and cussing and making fun of me. And I didn't care about that, right? You don't worry about how people respond to you. When Paul preached, man, some of the Jews loved it, some hated him. Some believed, some didn't believe. That's how it's supposed to happen. So never be ashamed when somebody doesn't believe or puts you down or whatever. Or puts the message down. And so they're all cussing me and laughing and whatever. And I just said, hey, hey, no problem, no problem. Hey, if you want to come to the meeting, come. If you need help, come find me and I'll help you get set free. Saved by God and healed. And I walked off. And I'm walking down the street and I hear this noise behind me. And it's a fellow running behind me. And he running He like wait wait Wait And I turn around and it one of the guys from the group And he runs up to me and he says he goes I don care what they say man I need help. That's called planting seed and watching for the harvest. Planting seed and watching for the ripe tomato. Planting seed and watching for the green tomato to turn red. That's the one you pick. And so here this man is. He goes, I'm 40 years old. I got a back injury, back pain. He goes, my whole body's full of pain. He said, I'm a drug addict. I need help. I had him call on Jesus. I prayed for him. The power of God touched him. He stood there and he said, whoo. And he started jumping up and down. He said, it's all gone. I feel something all over me. He was crying. He was so happy. He got set free. you never know you never know when it's going to happen it could be one out of a hundred it could be 10 out of 100 it could be 50 out of you never know that is not what motivates us our visible success is not what motivates us what motivates us is the word of god do you value it do you know what you have in this gospel? Do you know that everybody was made unrighteous because of one man's sin? Do you realize that because of one man's act of obedience, many can be justified? It's the only way for humanity to make it to God is Jesus Christ. Do you value that? Does it motivate you in life? .
