The purpose of this message, Words of Life, is to bring life and hope and encouragement to the believer who is experiencing a need for a miracle and healing and or deliverance in his or her life. Jeremiah 23, 29 says, Is my word not like fire, declares the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks a rock into pieces? Well, God through his word shows you as a believer the power and authority in his word and gives you the legal right as his son or daughter to take charge to lay hold of and shatter the strongholds that the enemy has so cleverly laid upon you. There is an example of a frog sitting in cold water and he is oblivious to the fact that there has been lighted a fire beneath him. The container of water begins to heat up, causing cold water to warm up a little. And the frog nestles in, feeling quite comfortable and very content. The enemy, according to God's word, is known as being cunning and crafty. And his devices are subtle, to say the least. Now the water by this time is very hot. And the frog is beyond ability to save itself because it is rapidly being boiled in the water. The scripture also says the enemy, that is Satan, is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. And also we may become victims of the enemy because our hearts are deceitful and desperately wicked above all things. And who could know it? Hosea 4.6 says, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. because you've rejected knowledge. Jeremiah 17.9 says, The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, and who could know it? I, the Lord, search the heart. I test the mind, even to give every man according to his way, according to the fruit of his doing. The Lord showed me in a dream a number of years ago this scene. There was a cute little dog who had a big smile on its face, only in a dream as you know. This little dog came walking into the kitchen where there was a large tub of boiling water sitting on the floor. And this little smiling dog walks up to the tub of boiling water, still smiling, and he jumps into the water. As I watched the little dog, he was being churned around and around in the boiling water, still smiling as he would come up to the surface, only to be boiled back down to the bottom again. And I noticed that his eyes were closed the whole time. And I remember in this dream how I reached my hand into that boiling water. having no fear I grabbed that little dog by the nape of the neck and pulled him out. And this is what God does for us through his word. There is freedom and liberty and deliverance and healing that is yours through the word of God. Well the Lord showed me through this dream that this is how his people are. people get into situations and trouble and do not know that they are being boiled to death and they are sinners on their way to hell if it looks good, tastes good, feels good people end up being churned around and around until they wake up and realize they are sinning and in trouble and needing the helping hand of their merciful God and Father or end up perishing with a smile on their face. Also, this dream shows how people accept what the devil brings their way. God's word says, resist the devil and he shall flee from you. Do not accept what Satan brings your way or tries to dump on you. Two cannot walk together unless they be agreed. Praise God for his living word. And because of his word and in the name of Jesus and the blood of Jesus, we as God's children and members of his royal family have the tools and the power to take all authority over the great adversary. Luke 10.19 says, I've given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you. He whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Before God made His word a living reality in my life, I would hear those words I just spoke to you. and I thought, sure, okay, how will I ever have this authority? And I learned by the direction of precious Holy Spirit that I must seek Him with my whole heart and He would give me a love for His Word and that these wonderful promises would be mine. I learned to seek the Lord of my life with all of my heart and all of my soul and all of my mind giving up all my desires along the way and accepting God's will for my life. And by seeking my Lord through His Word and learning who He is through the Word of God cause such a great love, a hunger and desire within my soul to know Him more. The reality of God through His Word is called relationship and the manifested presence of God in your life grows out of this relationship and it's known as fellowship with your Creator. This is truly the desire of God for your life that you love to be with Him and enjoy His fellowship. His manifested presence and your Emmanuel means God with you. This is why you were created. And when you declare God's Word and say, It is written, is my word not like fire, like a hammer to break a rock in pieces? You soon know that you have laid hold of a powerful weapon that breaks the bonds, the fetters, the chains, the leg irons, and the lies of the enemy over your life. and you learn to hate the fact that the great deceiver from the very pit of hell ever got by with what he did and has in your life. And you start by taking authority in the name of Jesus, the word of God, and by applying the blood of Jesus to keep the deliverance God has given you. The word of God in your heart makes you free. and the word of God is full of freedom and liberty. Jesus spoke to the leper to ask him, Will you make me clean? And Jesus said to the leper, I will. Thou are made clean. And immediately it was cleansed because he believed his Lord could make him clean. You just take your position, declaring God's word, and he will do the rest. 2 Chronicles 20.17 says You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your position. Stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. Go out and face them tomorrow and the Lord will be with you. Proverbs 18.21 says The tongue has the power of life and death and those who love it will eat its fruit. Speak life to your situations and they will change. Luke 10.19 says, The devil shall not hurt you. I give you power over him. And Galatians 3.13 says, Jesus became a curse for you. You do not have to carry sin and sickness around. Let the devil know you are redeemed for the curse by the blood of Jesus. That which has been blessed cannot be cursed. Father God, I pray these words of life and truth break the chains of the enemy over your people. In the name of Jesus and by the blood of the Lamb, I agree with the listener of this message that Satan, you are a defeated foe. And I command you, Satan, to get your hands off of God's people in the name of Jesus. And I thank you, Heavenly Father, for victory, for healing, and for deliverance in the name of Jesus. And I thank you for the covenant promise to your people. Now, Lord, move your mighty hand of power over your people. hover over your people dear Holy Spirit I pray that through your word of life the one listening to this word will experience the resurrection power the very power which raised Jesus from the dead let it course through their body as they listen to these words of life which is your word dear Jesus I thank you Jesus and I bless you And I acknowledge that you alone are God, and you alone are worthy, and you alone are sovereign, the Most High, the highest of all the heavens and the earth, and in you and you alone is life and truth. in the book of 1st John 1 7 informs us that when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior his blood cleanses you from all your past sins present and even future his righteousness is imputed or counted to us so when a person becomes a believer he enters into a blood covenant with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. And the blood covenant is an everlasting covenant. And staying in this covenant depends on God's grace, not your good works. And staying in this covenant depends on your faithfulness to live your life according to truth laid out for you in God's holy word. The Lamb of God, slain from the foundations of the world cut covenant for all mankind and you were there then in God's heart and his eyes and he considered you crucified with his son Jesus Christ Jesus took on your robe of self-righteousness which is considered as filthy rags and he extended and gave you his righteousness he took upon himself all the sins of sickness of mankind. He who knew no sin took all of your sin and sickness and all of your spiritual leprosy. It was all put upon him when he went to the cross. Jesus became sin for you and for me. And through this very act of our Savior, it became an everlasting atonement. and it was done once and for all. It is a message of new beginning and it is important for you to know that this covenant promise is to be a continuing blessing. Every day you live, you can experience these blessings in your life and your soul and your body. And all of your needs are covered in the covenant promise through the finished work on the cross. Proverbs 30, verse 5. says every word of God is pure, and He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Proverbs 10.6 Blessings crown the head of the righteous. It is the Father's heart and desire to bless all of His children. All the blessings are yours because of the supreme sacrifice of His dear Son, Jesus Christ. Ezekiel 34.26 Genesis 12.3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse. Romans 10.12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile. The same Lord is the Lord of all, and richly blesses all who call on Him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Psalms 84.4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are ever praising you. In Psalms 112 verse 1 Blessed is the man who fears the Lord and finds great delight in his commands. Proverbs 28 20 A faithful man will be richly blessed. God's word is telling you that a faithful man will be richly blessed with God's gifts and favors. And Psalms 32, 1 says, Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord, and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found. And surely the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him. You are my hiding place And you will protect me from trouble And surround me with songs of deliverance And Deuteronomy 4.30 Says for the Lord your God is a merciful God And he will not abandon or destroy you Or forget the covenant with your fathers Which he confirmed to them by oath Hebrews 13.5 and 6 Never will I leave you and never will I forsake you. So we say with confidence, The Lord is my helper and I will not be afraid. Psalms 18.16 He reached down from on high and He took hold of me and He drew me out of the waters. Psalms 72.12 For He will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help, and he will take pity on the weak and the needy, and he will save the needy from death, and he will rescue them from oppression and violence. Exodus 15.6 Your right hand, O Lord, was majestic in power. Your right hand, O Lord, shattered the enemy. Isaiah 46.4 And even to your old age and gray hairs, I am He. I am He who will sustain you. And I have made you and I will carry you. I will sustain you and I will rescue you. Exodus 15, 11 Who among the gods is like you, O Lord? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders? Ephesians 3, 20 now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or we imagine according to his power 1 John 5.14 this is the confidence we have in approaching God that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us and if we know that he hears us whatever we ask we know that we have what we ask of him Job 22.28 You will also decree a thing and it will be established for you and light shall shine on your ways. Hebrews 11.6 And without faith it is impossible to please him for he who comes to God must believe that he is and that he is the rewarder of those who seek him. Romans 4.20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had the power to do what he had promised. Luke 10.19 I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all power of the enemy and nothing will harm you. God's word shows us that when we pray in the name of Jesus by the power of the blood and in the authority of the written word by the power of the Holy Spirit and through faith the enemy must bow. He must bow. Our beloved Savior Jesus left us a great inheritance. Jesus told us before he was resurrected and he went to sit at the right hand of his Father in heaven. Greater things will you do than what I did. These are our weapons and you must learn to use them. Deuteronomy 32, 39 says See now that I myself am he. There is no God besides me. I put to death and I bring to life and I have wounded and I will heal and no one can deliver out of my hand This scripture is saying that God put you to death to bring you to life and that he wounds you to heal you and that no man or demon in hell will take out of his hand that which he has for you. Jeremiah 1.12 I am watching over my word to perform it. And Philippians 4.18 says, My God will supply all of your needs. Mark 11.21 And Jesus answered, saying to them, Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart. But he believes that what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted him. Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them and they shall be granted you. And whenever you stand praying, forgive if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions. Romans 12, 11 says, Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord, and be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. And Jeremiah 29, 10. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord Plans to prosper you and not to harm you Plans to give you a hope and a future And then you will call upon me And come and pray to me And I will listen to you You will seek me and find me When you seek me with all of your heart I will be found by you, declares the Lord James 4.7 Submit yourselves then to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Ephesians 6.11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Isaiah 54, 17 declares that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Revelation 1, 18 Jesus says, I am the living one. I was dead and behold, I am alive forever and ever. And I hold the keys of death and Hades. Job 33.4 declares the spirit of God has made me and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. And Romans 4.17 says God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were. 1 John 3.8 He who does what is sinful is of the devil because the devil has been sinning from the beginning and the reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. Isaiah 49.25 Isaiah 59.25 Isaiah 59.25 Isaiah 59.25 Isaiah 59.25 Isaiah 59.25 Isaiah 55.10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth and it will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I desire to achieve in the purpose for which I sent it. What a promise. What an awesome promise. Proverbs 18.21 declares that the tongue has the power of life and death. And those who love it will eat of its fruit. It is God's will to heal you. And Psalms 103.2 says, Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all of his benefits. Who forgives all of your sins and heals all of your diseases. And James 5.14 says, and the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well and the Lord will raise him up if he has sinned he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. In John 9.31 declares that we know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly man who does his will. Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind. If this man were not from God, he could do nothing. And John 15, 6 says that if you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given you. There is a translation to this scripture that says, If you live in me and my word lives in you, ask what you will and it will leap into existence and become a fact. What an awesome promise we have in God's word. I pray you see the reality in the word of God in life and hope. John 15, 16 says, you did not choose me. Exodus 15, 26. And he said, if you listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and you do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all of his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians. for I am the Lord who heals you. Isaiah 53.5 But he was pierced for our transgressions and he was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought us peace was laid upon him and by his wounds we are healed. Psalms 147 verse 3 He heals the brokenhearted and he binds up their wounds and he determines the number of stars and he calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power. Luke 6, 17 And a large crowd of his disciples were gathered there and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem and from the coast of Tyre and Sidon who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. those troubled by evil spirits were cured and the people all tried to touch him because the power was coming from him and healing them all Luke 9.6 when Jesus is called the twelve together he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick And he told them, take nothing for the journey. No staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra tunic. Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. And if the people do not welcome you, shake the dust off your feet. And when you leave their town as a testimony against them, shake the dust off your feet. so they set out and they went from village to village preaching the gospel and healing people everywhere Isaiah 61 1 and the spirit of the sovereign Lord is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor and he has sent me to bind up the broken hearted to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God to comfort all who mourn and provide for those who grieve in Zion to bestow upon them a crown of beauty instead of ashes and the oil of joy instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of heaviness and they will be called oaks of righteousness a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor. 2 Kings 20 verse 4 says, Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, this is what the Lord, the God of your father David says. Psalms 51 verse 8 Let me hear joy and gladness. Let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Hide your face from my sins and blot out my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me. Mark 5.24 A large crowd followed and pressed around him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for 12 years. and she had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors who she had spent all she had on. And yet instead of getting better, she grew worse. And when she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak because she thought, if I just touch his clothes, I will be healed. Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. at once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him and he turned around in the crowd and asked who touched my clothes? You see the people crowding around you his disciple says and yet you can ask who touched me? But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it and then the woman knowing what had happened to her came and fell at his feet and trembling with fear told him the whole truth. And he said to her, Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be free from your suffering. Luke 17, 11. And on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee, and he was going from village to village. Ten men who had leprosy met him, and they stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, Jesus, Master, have pity on us. And when he saw them, he said, Go show yourselves to the priest. And as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw he was healed, he came back praising God in a loud voice, and he threw himself at Jesus' feet, and he thanked him, and he was a Samarian. Jesus asked, Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner? And then he said to him, Rise and go. Your faith has made you well. Luke 18.35 Son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. And when he came near, Jesus asked him, What do you want me to do for you? Lord, I want to see, he replied. And Jesus said to him, Receive your sight. Your faith has healed you. And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. And when all the other people saw it, they also praised God. 3 John 2 Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you even as your soul is getting along. You ask, then believe and you will receive. God's word brings life. Psalms 113.9 He grants a barren woman a home like a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord. I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. Isaiah 66, 12 For this is what the Lord says, I will extend peace to her like a river and the wealth of the nations like a flooding stream and you will nurse and be carried on your arm and dangle her on your knees. As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you. It is imperative to remember that As you believe God for your healing and deliverance in your own life, it is important to forgive those who have hurt you or offended you. Let go of all your anger and bitterness. And remember, forgiveness is the key to freedom. You must forgive. James 5.14 says, Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with only prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well and the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Job 33.24 Be gracious to him and say, Spare him from going down to the pit, for I have found a ransom for him. And then his flesh is renewed like a child's and it's restored as the days of his youth. Isaiah 40 verse 1 Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem and proclaim to her her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the Lord, Lord's hand double for all of her sins. In a voice of one calling in the desert, prepare the way for the Lord. Make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low, and the rough ground shall become level, and the rugged place is a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all of mankind will see it. for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. And a voice says, cry out. And I said, what shall I cry? All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of a field. The grass withers and the flowers fall because the breath of the Lord blows on them. And surely the people are like grass, and the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever. You who bring good tidings to Zion, go up on a high mountain. And you who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout. And lift it up and do not be afraid. Say to the towns of Judah, here is your God. See the sovereign Lord comes with power and his arm rules for him. See his reward is with him and his recompense accompanies him. and he tends his flock like a shepherd and he gathers the lambs in his arms and he carries them close to his heart and he leads those who have the young. Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand or the breath of his hand has marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket or weighed the mountains on a scale and the hills in a balance? Who has understood the mind of the Lord or instructed him as his counselor? Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him? And who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding? Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket and they are regarded as dust on the scales. He weighs the islands as though they are fine dust. Lebanon is not sufficient for altar fires nor its animals enough for burnt offerings. And before him all the nations are as nothing, and they are regarded by him as worthless and less than nothing. To whom then when you compare the Lord? What image would you compare him to? As for an idol, a craftsman casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold and fashions silver chains for it. A man too poor to present such an offering selects wood that will not rot, and he looks for a skilled craftsman to set up an idol that will not topple. Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? And have you not understood since the earth was founded? He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and he spreads them out like a tent to live in. And he brings princes to naught, and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. No sooner are they planted, and no sooner are they sown, and no sooner do they take root in the ground than he blows on them, and they wither. And a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff. To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal, says the Holy One? Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens. Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and he calls each by name. And because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel, my way is hidden from the Lord? My cause is disregarded by my God. Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall. but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength and they will soar on wings like eagles and they will run and not grow weary and they will walk and not be faint those of you who hear this message of hope and deliverance and healing through this word of God and yet you may have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior These holy words of God are promises for God's own children And these scriptures were authored and inspired by the Holy Spirit And penned by 40 men, 40 holy men of God Who were under the inspiration of the Spirit of the Lord When they wrote the books of the Bible God's holy word brings life to the believer Because his son Jesus Christ is the author of life and he is the word of God. The blood of Jesus was spilled out for all, for all who would truly repent of their sins and choose eternal life with God's own son who was the innocent lamb of God. Jesus is the only way to eternal life. Jesus is the only way to eternal salvation. You see, salvation is a person. And because salvation is Jesus Christ Himself, He is your life. He died to become your salvation. If you've never declared Jesus Christ as your Savior, and if you wish to be included in the royal family of God, truly repent of your sins now. Repent of your sins and acknowledge that you are a sinner. And in your true heartfelt repentance, you will be saved from eternal damnation. You are a sinner saved by the grace of God through the death and burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Understand that your sins are offensive to our holy God and Father. and as a family member of God Jesus tells us that we must live out this time on earth by believing and living every word of God. Learn to love the word of God by reading it every day, not out of duty, but because you love your heavenly father who gave you his only begotten son. Your heavenly father saw you and loved you even before the foundation of the world. 1 John 1.7 says, But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his son, cleanses us from all of our sin. Enjoy your new life through relationship and fellowship with your Lord and Master Jesus Christ. And all of the victories in Christ are possible for you now, a member in the royal family of God. Contact us and remember, your information will be kept strictly confidential. May our Lord Jesus Christ richly bless you this day. Thank you. John chapter 16, verse 33. Jesus tells us as Christians living in this world that we will face many uncomfortable trials. He said, I have told you these things so that in me you may have perfect peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration. but be of good cheer, take courage, be confident, certain, undaunted for I have overcome the world I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you Jesus was our prime representative of one who suffered He set the example for us and provided the ultimate and eventual way out for all faith-filled believers whose hope lies not in this world but in the unseen world above called our eternal home. Yes, we will face many troubles in this life, but it is by this way that our faith will grow and blossom. Our faith grows by being exercised, and the challenges of life are meant to produce fruit in the vineyard of our souls. 1 Peter 1.6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory. at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom, having not seen, you love. Though now you do not see him, yet believing, you rejoice with inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls. There is nothing like the precious word of God to bring comfort, hope, and peace to our spirits and souls. when we are going through trials and troubles and distress of any kind. We personally know many people who do not know Jesus Christ's soothing comfort or his embracing love and living hope as they go through their dark times. They have no hope of the promises that God pledges to his beloved children who obey and trust in Him in all of life's difficulties. These promises are guaranteed to bring us through every dark veil if we will only trust in God. Prayer is our fuel, and prayer is our lifeline to heaven. Faith is our hope of those things not yet seen. Our hope is our anchor, which gives us stability in the midst of every storm. Hope is the outcome or result of faith. Paul's Epistle in 2 Corinthians 4, verses 17-18 says, For our life affliction, which is before a moment, is working for us a far more exceedingly and eternal weight of glory. While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. To have hope means to have a lively expectation of those things that you have longed for. Hopefully, our main goal in life and our greatest expectancy will be in the final realization of the promise of eternal life. 1 Timothy chapter 6 verses 12 through 13 declares fight the good fight of faith lay hold on eternal life to which you are also called and have confessed a good confession in the presence of many witnesses In Isaiah chapter 55 verse 9, the Lord tells us, So shall my word that goes forth from my mouth, it shall not return to me void without producing any effect useless but it shall accomplish that which I please in purpose and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it for the word of God is living, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even unto the division of the soul and spirit, and the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. God's promises are sure and trustworthy. What he says in his word will come to pass, if you will just believe. Listen as the following scriptures on hope are recited. And remember, every scripture is God-breathed, given by His inspiration, profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, and for training in righteousness, in holy living, in conformity to God's will, in thought, purpose, and action, so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well-fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3, verses 16-17 May the Lord give you renewed hope as you listen to His encouraging words. For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that by our steadfast and patient endurance and the encouragement drawn from the scriptures, we might hold fast to and cherish hope. Romans chapter 15, verse 4. Genesis 50, 21 declares Now therefore do not be afraid I will provide and support you and your little ones and he comforted them imparting cheer and hope and strength and he spoke to their hearts kindly The book of Job tells us, The poor have hope, and iniquity shuts her mouth. Happy and fortunate is the man whom God reproves. So do not despise or reject the correction of the Almighty, subjugating you to trial and suffering. For he wounds, but he binds up. He smites, but his hand heals. He will rescue you in six troubles. In seven, nothing that is evil for you will touch you. In famine, he will redeem you from death, and in war from the power of the sword. You shall be hidden from the scourge of the tongue. Neither shall you be afraid of destruction when it comes. At destruction and famine, you shall laugh. Neither shall you be afraid of the living creatures of the earth. Job, chapter 5, verses 16 through 22. He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts up the needy from the ash heap, to make them sit with nobles and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and he has set the world upon them. He will guard the feet of his godly winds, but the wicked shall be silenced and perish in darkness. For by strength shall no man prevail. 1 Samuel 2, verses 8 and 9 But on the contrary, as the scripture says, what eye has not seen, and ear has not heard, and has not entered into the heart of man, all that God has prepared, made, and keeps ready for those who love him, who hold him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying him, and gratefully recognizing the benefits he has bestowed. Paul's Epistle, 1 Corinthians 2, verse 9 For the needy shall not be forgotten, and the expectation and hope of the meek and the poor shall not perish forever. Psalms, chapter 9, verse 18 Return to the stronghold of security and prosperity, you prisoners of hope. Even today I do declare that I will restore double your former prosperity to you. Zechariah 9.12 For God himself has said, I will not in any way fail you, nor give you up, nor leave you without support. I will not. I will not. I will not in any degree leave you helpless, nor forsake, nor let you down, or relax my hold on you, assuredly not. So take comfort and encourage and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my helper. I will not be seized with alarm. I will not fear or dread or be terrified. What can man do to me? Hebrews chapter 13 verses 5 through 6. He drew me out of a horrible pit, a pit of tumult and destruction, out of the miry clay, froth and slime, and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings. Psalms, chapter 40, verse 2. You will be secure because there is hope. You will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor. Job chapter 11, verses 18 through 19. For in this hope we were saved But hope, the object of which is seen, is not hope For how can one hope for what he already sees But if we hope for what is still unseen by us We wait for it with patience and composure. To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. In you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor my enemies triumph over me. No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame. Psalms, chapter 25, verses 1 through 3. Wait for the Lord. Be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalms, chapter 27, verse 14. The End and after a few hours, she won her confidence. The old woman said sorrowfully, I have traveled all the way from California by myself, stopping at every city of importance between San Francisco and Boston. In every city, I visited two places, the police station and the hospital. You see, my boy ran away from home, and I have no idea where he is. I've got to find him. The mother's eyes seemed to flash a ray of hope as she added, Someday he may even come into this very hospital. And if he does, please promise me you'll tell him his two best friends never gave up on him. Bending over the dying mother, the nurse whispered softly, Tell me the names of those two friends so I can tell your son if I see him. With trembling lips and her eyes filled with tears, the mother responded, Tell him those two friends were God and his mother. And she closed her eyes and died. Suppose one of you had a hundred sheep and one was lost. Wouldn't you leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go back to the lost one until you found it? And when you found it, you can be sure you would put it across your shoulders rejoicing. And when you got home, call in your friends and neighbors saying, Celebrate with me. I have found my lost sheep. count on it there's more joy in heaven over one sinner's rescued life than over 99 good people in no need of rescue this mother had never given up hope of seeing her precious son redeemed and saved by the helping hand of her great shepherd Jesus Christ for all of you who have loved ones who are unsaved, keep praying and have faith and hope that Jesus Christ will go after the very last one of your relatives to bring them into his fold. Remember, nothing is impossible for God. David writes, I am still confident of this. I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord. Be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalms, chapter 27, verses 13 and 14. Amen. Be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me. Psalms, chapter 31, verses 1 through 5. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father who has loved us and gave us everlasting consolation and encouragement and well-founded hope through his grace unmerited favor Comfort and encourage your hearts and strengthen them. Make them steadfast and keep them unswerving in every good work and word. 2 Thessalonians 2, verses 16-17 Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for and hope for and expect the Lord. Psalms chapter 31, verse 24 Behold the eye of the Lord is upon those who fear Him, who revere and worship Him with awe, who hope for Him and hope in His mercy and loving kindness, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. Our inner selves wait earnestly for the Lord. He is our help and our shield, for in Him does our heart rejoice, because we have trusted, relied on, been confident in His holy name. Let Your mercy and loving kindness, O Lord, be upon us in proportion to our waiting and hoping for You. Psalms, chapter 33, verses 18 through 22. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of sympathy, pity, and mercy, and the God who is the source of every comfort, consolation, and encouragement, who comforts, consoles, and encourages us in every trouble, calamity, and affliction, so that we may also be able to comfort, console, and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble or distress with the comfort and consolation and encouragement with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as Christ's own suffering fall to our lot as they overflow upon his disciples and we share and experience them, so through Christ's comfort is also shared and experienced abundantly by us. 2 Corinthians 1, verses 3-5 And now, Lord, what do I wait for and expect? My hope and expectation are in you. Deliver me from my transgressions. Make me not the scorn and reproach of the self-confident fool. Psalms chapter 39, verses 7 through 8. Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me? and be disquieted within me. Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, my help and my God. Psalms, chapter 42, verse 5. It is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Deuteronomy chapter 31 verse 6 There was a small congregation in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains who had built a new sanctuary on a piece of land willed to them by a church member. Ten days before the new church was to open, the local building inspector informed the pastor that the parking lot was inadequate for the size of the building. Until the church doubled the size of the parking lot, they would not be able to use the new sanctuary. Unfortunately, the church with its undersized parking lot had used every inch of their land except for the mountain against which it had been built. In order to build more parking spaces, they would have to move the mountain out of the backyard. Undaunted, the pastor announced the next Sunday morning that he would meet that evening with all members who had mountain moving fame. They would hold a prayer session asking God to remove the mountain from the backyard.
somehow provide enough money to have it paved and painted before the scheduled opening dedication service the following week. At the appointed time, 24 of the congregation's 300 members assembled for prayer. They prayed for nearly three hours. At 10 o'clock, the pastor said the final amen. We'll open next Sunday as scheduled, he assured everyone. God has never let us down before, and I believe he will be faithful this time too. The next morning, as he was working in his study, there came a loud knock at his door. And when he called, come in, a rough-looking construction foreman appeared, removing his hard hat as he entered. He said, Excuse me, Reverend. I'm from the Acme Construction Company over in the next county. We're building a huge new shopping mall over there, and we need some filled dirt. Would you be willing to sell us a chunk of that mountain behind the church? We'll pay you for the dirt we removed and pave all of the exposed area free of charge if we can have it right away. We can't do anything else until we get the field dirt in and allow it to settle properly. The little church was dedicated the next Sunday as originally planned, and there were far more members with mountain-moving faith on opening Sunday than there had been the previous week. This pastor had faith enough to believe that God would come through for them. Less than 10% of the congregation took the time to pray with the believing pastor who knew that God would make straight their paths and would not fail them. Their hope and belief in God's faithfulness was vibrant and alive. Jesus said to his disciples, who came to him asking why they could not drive out a demon of an epileptic boy. Jesus said to them, because of the littleness of your faith, that is your lack of firm, relying trust. For truly I say to you, if you have faith that is living like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move, and nothing will be impossible to you. Matthew 17, verse 20 The Word of the Lord declares, Lean on, trust in, be confident in the Lord with all of your heart and mind, and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways, know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and he will direct and make straight and plain. Proverbs 3, verses 5 and 6 If you live in me, abide vitally united to me and my words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts. Ask whatever you will and it shall be done for you. John, chapter 15, verse 7. The End With Moses, so will I be with you. I will not fail you or forsake you. Be strong, confident, and take good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left That you may prosper wherever you go This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth But you shall meditate on it day and night That you may observe and do according to all that is written in it For then you shall make your way prosperous And then you shall deal wisely and have good success Have I not commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua, chapter 1, verses 5 through 9. You have given him his heart's desire and have not withheld the request of his lips. For you send blessings of good things to meet him. Psalms, chapter 21, verses 2 and 3. May He grant you according to your heart's desire and fulfill all of your plans. Psalms 20, verse 4 Trust, lean on, rely on and be confident in the Lord and do good. So shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on his faithfulness. And truly you shall be fed. Delight yourself also in the Lord. And he will give you the desires and the secret petitions of your heart. Commit your ways to the Lord. roll and repose each care of your load on him trust, lean on, rely on and be confident also in him and he will bring it to pass and he will make your righteousness and right standing with God go forth as the light and your justice and right as the shining sun of the noonday Psalms chapter 37 verses 3 through 6. Then came the word of the Lord to Jeremiah, saying, Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me? Jeremiah, chapter 32, verses 26 through 27. I will heal their faithfulness. I will love them freely. For my anger is turned away from Israel. Hosea chapter 14 verse 2 O Lord my God, I cried to you and you have healed me. Psalms chapter 30 verse 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and that your body may keep well, even as I know your soul keeps well and prospers. 3 John 2 A woman many years ago writes, When I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz, who was suffering from a rare and serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her five-year-old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat that illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, Yes, I'll do it if it will save her. As the transfusion progressed, he lay in the bed next to his sister and smiled as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheeks. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, Will I start to die right away? Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor. He thought he was going to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her. You see, understanding and attitude after all is everything. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk. This little boy was willing to give all because of the selfless love that he had for his older sister, no matter what it cost him, even his own life. For you are my hope, O Lord God. You are my trust for my youth and the source of my confidence. Upon you I have leaned and relied from birth. You are he who took me from my mother's womb, and you have been my benefactor from that day. My praise is continually of you. Psalms, chapter 71, verse 5. But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Romans chapter 8 verse 29 Jesus made it very clear that eternal life only comes to those who make a total commitment to him. This commitment will require complete obedience to His every command, not out of duty, but because we love Him. Our precious Savior gives His faithful followers encouragement and hope when He said, Let not your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may also be. And where I go you know, and the way you know. John's Gospel, Chapter 14, Verses 1-4 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Titus, chapter 2, verses 11 through 13. We always thank God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ when we pray for you. Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel. To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians, chapter 1, verse 5 and verse 27. Jesus gives us many promises. These promises are for those who are steadfast in their faith towards God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. They have made the Lord their fortress and comfort. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father who loved us and gave us everlasting consolation and encouragement and well-founded hope through his grace and unmerited favor comfort and encourage your hearts and strengthen them make them steadfast and keep them unswerving in every good work and word. 2 Thessalonians 2, verses 16-17 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge, my fortress, my God. On Him I lean and rely, and in Him I confidently trust. For then he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. Then he will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings shall you trust and find refuge. His truth and his faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night Nor of the arrow, the evil plots and slanders of the wickedness that flies by day There shall be no evil befall you Nor any plague or calamity come near your tent For he will give his angels special charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways of obedience and service. Because he has set his love upon me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high because he knows and understands my name, has personal knowledge of my mercy, love, and kindness, trusts and relies on me knowing I will never forsake him no never he shall call upon me and I will answer him I will be with him in trouble I will deliver him and honor him with long life I will satisfy and show him my salvation Psalms chapter 91 verses 2 through 5 and verses 10 through 16. 1 Thessalonians 5, verses 23 and 24 and may the God of peace himself sanctify you through and through, separate you from profane things, make you pure and holy, consecrated to God, and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound and complete and be found blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah. Faithful is he who is calling you to himself and utterly trustworthy. And He also will do it. Fulfill His call by hallowing and keeping you Hallelujah Praise be the name of our Lord Jesus Christ In Him is all hope. Thank you. In this world today, there is much grief and unrest. There is much uncertainty, even though statistics say our economy is much improved. But even with what looks like a little light at the end of the tunnel economically, people still are not content. People are not free from threat and worry. Uncertainty and unrest encompasses this war-torn world. Moral values have declined and are worse than any time besides that of biblical Sodom and Gomorrah and also in the days of Noah before the flood. Murder and character assassination is easily done without fear of recompense or due penalty of law. Our chief apostle Paul declared in his epistle found in 2 Timothy 3, 1-5, He says, having a form of godliness but denying its power have nothing to do with them. The appearances of godliness completely belie the reality of what is real and genuine. Consciences are seared and the discontented spirit is easily discovered and seen all around us in the attitudes and lives of those who are perishing. We see the moral decay of humanity on the news, whether reporting here in America or elsewhere in the world. We see a world turned upside down. Politicians and many leaders who profess to be Christians today call evil good and good evil, just as prophet Isaiah declared in scripture. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light, and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and prudent and shrewd in their own sight. Isaiah chapter 5 verses 20 through 21. Lying is easy for those who are perishing and on their way to perdition. They have no thought of what gloom hangs over their heads in sudden judgment. Proverbs chapter 1 verse 24 declares Because I have called you and you have refused to answer and have stretched out my hand so that no man has heed it and you have treated as nothing all my counsel and would accept none of my reproof I also will laugh at your calamity I will mock when a thing comes that shall cause you terror and panic Verse 27 When your panic comes as a storm, and desolation and your calamity comes as a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you, then will they call upon me, but I will not answer. They will seek me early and diligently, but they will not find me. Indeed, it is very true, dear listener, circumstances may cause us to lose our joy. But people can also bring trials upon themselves that cause them to be robbed of joy and peace, or otherwise stated, their freedom in Jesus Christ, because they did not heed the warnings nor grew in maturity and fear or awe of the Lord God Almighty. Paul in his Gospel of Philippians 2.15 tells us something very significant in keeping ourselves in the eye of the Lord's vision and grace. If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from His love, any fellowship with His Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose, doing nothing out of self-ambition or vain conceit but in humility consider others better than yourself. Each of you should look not only to your own interests but to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that as Christ Jesus. How many times do believers in Christ lose their peace and joy and sense of freedom in Christ because of what people say or do or because of the wrong choices and decisions that were made. The best remedy we have for these trials and to stay anchored in Christ's love is having a submissive mind which is really a humble and tender heart that seeks only at all times to honor Jesus Christ regardless of what goes on around us in this world today which is falling apart at the seams. Our freedom in Christ is stated in Galatians 5 verse 1 For it is freedom that Christ has set us free Stand firm then, do not let yourselves be burdened again by the yoke of slavery The very cause or reason Satan was cast out of heaven and who was once called Lucifer the light bringer the most beautiful of all angels ever created was due to pride Satan elevated himself over God and endeavored to overthrow the throne of the almighty living creator God. Satan was a created being who deceived himself first to believe that he was greater and above God in wisdom and power and then secondly influenced a third of other angels to follow him in his coup to overthrow the great I Am, the great Jehoah God. Pride is the cause of much unrest and contention in both the world and in what we call the visible harlot church today. She has a great influence on those who do not know Jesus Christ or the word of God, which ultimately brings change in the inner person who follows hard after the king of kings, the son of the living God, the Lord of glory. These people will know the voice of their shepherd And will not be deceived by those Who present a mix in the pure doctrine of the gospel Better known as the word of God Because they've grown in humility, wisdom, discretion and discernment And most of all, love for the Lord Jesus Christ Who died for them Humility will always b
